At Rose City Funeral Home, we pride ourselves on the high level of professional service provided to families in their time of need. A personal touch is important for every individual service, so we will meet with you and your family to get to know you and your loved one in order to provide the level of care that your loved one deserves. The option of a lady funeral director is also available.
We will:
- Liaise with the minister and organist.
- Provide the family with flowers for the casket.
- Print ‘Order of Service’ sheets and a booklet for recording attendance at service.
- Arrange for donations to be given to the charity of your choice if the family decides that there will be no flowers.
- Arrange catering if required.
- Attend to newspaper advertising and thank you notices.
- Print ‘Thank You’ cards.
- Provide advice regarding interment of cremated remains.
- Arrange quotes for memorial headstones.
Rose City Funeral Home offers religious and non-religious services. Whether you want a small service at our traditional funeral home at Kelvin Grove Crematorium Chapel, a service in a church, or, perhaps, another venue of your choosing we can arrange for a celebrant or minister to officiate. Refreshments can be arranged for family and friends after the service, either at our funeral home or at a venue of your choice. Our main office is in the Manawatu, however, we also have an office in Pahiatua and cover the Tararua regions. If you would like us to travel further afield, please let us know — we are here to help.
Prearranged Funerals
Through life's journey you make your own choices so why not in death? Prearranging your funeral is a way of ensuring you get what you want, from casket selection to flowers and music. We record your wishes so when the time comes, the dilemma of making the right decision is relieved from your loved ones. You can prearrange your funeral by visiting the professional staff at our funeral home, or we can come to visit you.
Prepaid Funerals
This is the next step up from prearranged funerals. All of the decisions are still yours to make, and your wishes are still recorded. The difference is that you can make a prepayment towards the cost of your funeral in advance. Your finances are secured with a legally approved trust fund and interest accrued covers inflation. Think of it as an investment!
Budget Funerals
Some people prefer a 'low key funeral' or worry about the cost. At Rose City Funeral Home we listen to you and arrange a funeral around your budget. We can arrange flowers, a casket and a venue — all within the limits of your budget.
